Workshop 2 – Road map development and implementation

The second workshop was held in Budapest, October 9 and 10, 2025.

In this workshop the following topics were discussed:
• Barriers to effective screening
• How to use a road map to develop an action plan to improve screening programmes
• Organisation and governance
• How to prioritise between screening programmes
• Communication

In addition, the workshop supported networking and provided unique opportunities to interact with colleagues and sharing of knowledge.

Representatives of the following countries were present: Albania, Armenia, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic,  Georgia, Hungary, Italy, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Montenegro, the Netherlands, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Ukraine. Also people from the WHO and IARC joined the workshop. In total, 71 people participated.
